Day of Joy:
a Celebration for 100 Children

Because every child deserves to feel the magic of Christmas.

Some children count down the days to Christmas with excitement and certainty, certain there will be gifts under a tree, a warm meal on the table, and laughter filling the room. For 100 underprivileged children in our community, that certainty is not always there.

On December 21, Starlight PHI Association and MOB Foundation came together with one shared purpose: to make sure these children felt what every child deserves to feel at Christmas, seen, celebrated, and unconditionally loved.

The afternoon was pure joy. Gifts were given, games were played, and laughter rang through Laram Covered Court in a way that reminded every adult present why this work matters. In the smiles of those 100 children, we saw something simple and profound: the power of showing up for someone.

No child was too small to matter. No smile went unnoticed.

​

This is what we believe at Starlight, that compassion, when shared, multiplies. That a moment of happiness given to a child today plants something that grows far beyond the afternoon. Hope. Worth. The knowledge that strangers cared enough to come.

This is the true meaning of Christmas. Giving from the heart, and bringing hope to those who need it most.
